It’s that simple really. Focusing on RESULTS, and not just ACTIVITY, is a key differentiator from the "business owner" and the "employee."

In this newsletter, I want to share with you a recent experience that Ken McElroy and I just had together over the last 90 days…

And what I hope you get out of this week’s newsletter is an appreciation for your own resulted-oriented mindset and moving past hurdles until you get what you truly want (whatever that is).

Inside the Trenches

Ken McElroy and I were on the phone last night telling the story to each other (no joke, it was last night and yes I really do write these newsletters) and laughing about how we take our mentality for granted…

How we just get sh*t done when we really want something and ultimately "just figure it out" like a true entrepreneur does…

About ninety days ago, give or take, Ken and I were talking on the phone and discussing who we wanted to meet at the upcoming Limitless Expo (don't worry, this isn't a pitch for the event, but it is part of the story).

Him and I do this event so we can meet amazing people and learn what's going on in the world. The hardest part about the event for us, is in fact picking the content and the speakers.

So at this time, I just heard RFK Jr. on the Jocko Podcast, and on this podcast he was discussing the destruction of the middle class, our country’s debt, how we are headed off a cliff and I thought…

"Hey! Why don't we get RFK out, and have him debate Robert Kiyosaki about the middle class and the coming financial crisis, that would be cool!"

Ken, of course, loved the idea. We then asked each other "any idea how we can get him? Know anyone with a connection?"

The answer both of us said at that time? "I don't know! Maybe!"

After the call, we then did what we do best. We hit up our networks...which is a key point to this story.

Your network really is crucial to success, at least it has been for my success. WHO YOU HANG AROUND IS SO FREAKING IMPORTANT!

Are they pulling you up? Or bringing you down?

Are you the smartest person in the room always? The strongest?

Get the ego and humility in check — go be the weakest and dumbest in the room again, it’s so freaking important...! (I digress)

Attempt 1

A couple weeks go by. I have a connection to Jocko and his team, so I hit them up. They just interviewed RFK Jr, so I figured they knew him. The main point of contact let me know he would reach out and see if the RFK Jr team were interested in talking with me. COOL! I thought...I’m in!

Needless to say, they weren't interested in talking with me...so fail there.

Ken on the other hand had better luck.

Attempt 2

George Gammon is suing the FED at this time (crazy!!) and his attorney happens to be good friends with RFK Jr...super small world!

George makes an intro and RFK Jr gets an email about this really cool event...

And...he replies, "I do not think I will be able to focus on a conference that time of year since it will be so close to the election, sorry but no thank you."

So...it was dead again..! But hey, closer!

Attempt 3

Then, we get introduced to multiple people on his team.

I fill out some form in detail about our event and what we want to accomplish by having RFK Jr on stage with Kiyosaki.

Somehow we got in touch with this guy “Tony” who is a part of an organization that says they help represent RFK Jr and can possibly help get him on our stage. Sweet!

…More than 45 days go by working with this guy. Ken and I both think we are going the right direction. We work out a deal, get to a contract, and then crickets. We thought we were good to go! Then, where did Tony go??!

Well, this group was unable to get RFK Jr, but that didn't stop us.

Attempt 4

We decided to reach back out to the people we filled out this “form” with, and found out that their main internal team coordinators were interested in finding out more about the event.

I scheduled a call, we discussed what we were trying to accomplish, along with our journeys with Tony (which they did know him, and he really did try to make it happen, but wasn't able to).

At this point, everything was still up in the air. Ken and I had many ups and downs during this time, yet each time we had a set back, without blinking we both were like ,"ok, next! Whats our next step to get to a solution?"

…It's funny. Looking back at the last 20 years of my life when I was either self employed and/or a business owner, each time I overcame a challenge by focusing on solutions (and not just the problem) — I ended up training my brain more and more to focus on solutions. It became second nature, like breathing.

All of this, was a “normal day” for Ken and I — that's the funniest part to both of us. When we were reflecting, we didn't even realize how normal this was in our lives and how natural at this point it is to just GET AFTER it and FIGURE IT OUT.

I digress again…

So finally, we were POSSIBLY talking to the right people.

This was three weeks ago and since then, I personally have either been on the phone, texting daily, and or in meetings every single day with someone on the RFK Jr team trying to figure this all out and make it work.

This also lead to Ken and I having a personal meeting with RFK Jr himself!

Prior to the call, I already thought he was a smart guy, but after the call, I realized I also liked him as a human. Ken and I also got invited to his house to go sailing as well, sweet!

Even though RFK Jr liked us, the deal was still not done.

The real decision maker, the person in charge of the schedule and all things public for RFK Jr, was still not fully on board.

I spent the rest of my time working on getting the true decision maker on board with this event AND more importantly, the LIVE BROADCAST we wanted to do of the Kiyosaki vs RFK Jr session.

The key to working with people is NOT trying to get what YOU want. The key, is always trying to help them get what THEY WANT.

At the end of the day, all I want is the result — and that result is getting RFK Jr and Kiyosaki on stage together at the Limitless Expo to discuss the middle class and our financial markets and what to do about it.

What do they want though? 

They want more exposure, they want a channel that isn't corrupted by the corporate media and other political parties, so people can actually hear RFK Jr's real thoughts about the economy, the middle class, the government corruption, and so forth.

What can Ken and I give them? We can give them exactly what they are looking for.

Ken and I don't need to get rich on hosting this event. We are already wealthy in our own ways and make our money in our real businesses (real estate). The Limitless Expo is our passion project, something we love to do but don't have to do. This allows us to make the right decisions on what we think is best for the event and the attendees.

Where did this end?

On August 31st at 4pm CST, Robert F Kennedy Jr and Robert Kiyosaki will be taking the stage (along with Ken McElroy in order to keep these guys in check), at the Limitless Expo at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas.

We will be jointly live streaming this session to all our channels along with many others. We will now see where Kiyosaki stands (don't forget, he wrote two books with Trump) and where RFK Jr stands in regards to our economy, the market, the middle class, and what to do about it.

Woohoo! Win!

It's easy to take for granted being an entrepreneur, and getting results.

It’s also easy to fall in the trap of the entrepreneur as well…and that is the mentality of "NEXT!"

What is that? Thats where you get the result, and then immediately say “whats next” and move on to the next thing.

Not even taking a moment to celebrate, or appreciate, or be grateful for what has happened.

This is where I still come up short, and why I appreciate men like Ken McElroy who remind me to celebrate and be grateful for all that we have done.

Today I do my best to surround myself with people (my network) who remind me to pause and have gratitude for all the accomplishments no matter how small, be grateful for my team, my family, the support of the community and so much more.
